LOS BANOS, CA—Twelve Food 4 Less and Six Rancho San Miguel Market stores in California are excited to announce the results of their first-ever Salvation Army Red Kettle Pin-Up campaign, raising $20,000 to support neighbors in need.
From December 1st through December 24th, paper red kettle pin-ups were sold for $1 each at checkout, offering customers a new way to support The Salvation Army’s iconic Red Kettle campaign. Donors wrote their name on the paper kettle before they were hung on the wall as a visual representation of the community support garnered by the campaign. All of the money raised will benefit each store’s local Salvation Army service center and will aid in offering social services assistance to people in need in that community.
These Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets locations have been long-time supporters of The Salvation Army’s traditional bell-ringing campaign.
“We are thrilled with the results of the campaign and are grateful to the communities for all of their generous support.” said Bill Spendlove, Director of Advertising, PAQ Inc..
Participating locations included: PAQ Inc. Food 4 Less stores in Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Ceres, Los Banos, Salinas, San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, Paso Robles, and Rancho San Miguel Markets stores in Stockton, Lodi, Ceres/Modesto, Greenfield, Merced, and Madera.
The Salvation Army relies on money raised by the Red Kettle campaign to serve nearly 30 million people annually in more than 5,000 communities across the country. Thanks to partnerships like this and the generosity of these communities, The Salvation Army serves more than 4 million people in need during the Christmas season, including more than 1 million children. All money raised through the pin-up campaign stays in the communities where it was collected.
We are in awe of the generosity of the community during the Christmas season and throughout the year. We couldn’t do what we do without partners like PAQ Inc., and we are truly grateful,” said Lt. Colonel Stephen Smith, Divisional Commander for The Salvation Army’s Golden State Division.
